| Professor (Control System) | 01 | (i) A Ph.D Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Control System Engineering/ Embedded System Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Controls and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and experience of ten years of teaching, research and/or industry, out of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor/ Reader or equivalent grade OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:- (a) First Class Master’s degree in Control System Engineering/ Embedded System Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Controls and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering. (b) Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a PhD Degree in Control System Engineering/ Embedded System Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Controls and Instrumentation Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and Industrial/ professional experience of ten years out of which at least five years at a senior level of Assistant Professor/ Reader. | Level- 14 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC |
| Associate Professor (Computer Science) | 01 | (i) A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree. OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:- (a) First class Master’s Degree in Computer Science. (b) Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D Degree in Computer Science and Industrial/ professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer. (iii) Eight years in teaching, research and/or industry, at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree | Level- 13A1 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC |
| Associate Professor (Electrical Engineering) | 01 | (i) A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:-(a) First class Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. | Associate Professor (Electronics and Communication Engineering) | 01 | (i) A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:-(a) First class Master’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. (b) Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Industrial/ professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecturer. | Associate Professor (Metallurgy/ Production Engineering) | 01 | (i) A Ph.D Degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgy/ Production Engineering and experience of eight years in teaching, research and/or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding the period spent on obtaining the research degree OR (ii) In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:-(a) First class Master’s Degree in Metallurgy/ Production Engineering.
