Staff Selection Commission (SSC)’s Junior Translators in (CSOLs) Examination pattern and scheme of examination are given below…
Scheme of Examination:
The written examination will consist of two papers, viz.
Paper-I:
a) General Hindi : 100 marks (Objective type)
b) General English : 100 marks (Objective type)
Paper-II:
Translation and Essay: 200 Marks (Conventional Type)
The maximum marks allotted to each paper and the duration of each paper will be as under:

Note-I :
Paper-I will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. Paper-II shall be evaluated in respect of only those candidates, who attain the minimum qualifying standard in Paper-I or part thereof as may be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.
Note-II:
Candidates are not permitted to use Mobile Phone, Calculator or any other electronic/electrical device for answering any paper (Test Booklets).
Note-III:
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
Part-II:
Personality Test/ Interview: Personality test will be held for 100 Marks. The interview will be held at the Commission’s Regional /Sub-Regional Offices or at any other place as decided by the Commission.
