Selection Procedure: Selection shall be made by the District Recruitment Board in case of male candidates and Central recruitment Board for females’ candidates. Selection process would comprise of three phases
1. Physical Measurement
2. Physical Efficiency Test
3. Interview.
1. Physical Measurement: Candidates who fulfill the requisite age and educational qualification shall only be screened for height. For Male candidates- Minimum Height 5’ 7” (Five feet Seven Inches); For Female candidates – Minimum Height 5’ 3” (Five feet three Inches). All eligible candidates shall then be put through a Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
2. Physical Efficiency Test:– Candidates fulfilling the physical measurement criteria shall be eligible to participate in Physical Efficiency Test. Physical efficiency test shall be of a qualifying nature and shall comprise of the 1600 Mtr Race (For Male)/ 800 Mtr Race (For Female), Long Jump, High Jump. For Ex-servicement physical efficiency test will consists of 1400 Mtr. Run/Walk for Male and 800 Mtr Run/ Walk for Female candidates.
Note: Candidate must qualify all the above events.
3. Interview: The candidates who qualify in physical efficiency test will be called for Interview. Interview shall carry 4 Marks.
The candidates shall be awarded marks on the basis of educational qualification and height as follows:

Note: Merit of the candidates will be drawn on the basis of the total marks obtained in educational qualification, height and interview.
